Walking in the winter can be treacherous! Here are some great tips for walking in icy conditions:
Wear gloves so you don’t have to put your hands in your pockets.
If you have to carry anything, use a backpack so you can keep your hands free.
If possible, stay on designated walkways.
Wear shoes or boots meant for traction.
And here is one of my favorite tips:
5. Walk like a penguin: point your feet out, extend your arms to your side, and take short steps.
